Accounting System Design, Set-Up and Training
If you have yet to start using an accounting software, or just starting your business, let’s discuss QuickBooks, with or without it integrating with an order management system such as SAGE Online, commonsku, or ESP+.
Set Up QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Our industry is complex, and getting set up on QBO requires experience in both QBO and our industry.
And too, there is the option to integrate with our industry order management systems like SAGE Online, commonsku, ESP+ and others.
My set-up service is 100% customized to your situation. It includes sales tax settings, customized templates, an industry-aligned chart of accounts, and all other settings to suit your operation and make certain every detail is correct.
Converting to QBO
QuickBooks is the most used accounting software of small business owners and known by lenders, investors, bookkeepers, and CPA’s.
QuickBooks has an immense market share and thus they are most likely to stay in business for the long term and stay current with technology as it evolves.
- Though there are new accounting software solutions, I worry about their sustainability.
- And, I know that QBO integrates with SAGE Online, Commonsku, ESP+ and other industry systems.
I have converted 100+ distributors from industry products like OrderMaster, ProfitMaker, AIA, DemandBridge, others, and manual systems to QuickBooks.
Most likely, at some point in time, the decision to convert to QuickBooks will arrive. When it does, let’s talk and discuss its advantages and its costs.
Order Management Integration
SAGE Online, commonsku, ESP+ and others are proven order management systems, respected in our industry. They simplify and streamline sales and marketing.
AND, with a few adjustments, most can integrate with QBO, so to minimize duplication of entries, to accelerate and improve the accuracy of your bookkeeping and accounting.
Monthly Reconciliation
I offer this monthly service to make adjustments, clean up errors, and bring problems to your attention such as overdue invoices or bills and double payments, while reconciling your credit cards and bank statements to the penny.
I need no training. As a distributor for 23 years, I know that monthly reconciliations reduce your CPA’s time and billing, in addition to catching errors and fraud.
Migrating from QB Desktop to QBO
QuickBooks has an immense market share and once upon a time, all their customers were on a QB Desktop product.
Technology advanced, and it became very costly for Intuit to keep the desktop software products current. Thus, the QB Online product has become a necessity.
Eventually, I believe 95% of all QB customers will be QBO customers. This move of your QB Desktop company file to QBO is called … migration.
For QuickBooks, this transition to QBO is a monumental task and evidence to me that QuickBooks recognizes their obligation to the market share they have achieved and are making a real effort to commit to their customers for the long term.
The challenge, as you can imagine, is that each QB user has their own unique way of using QB, especially Desktop. Migrating or moving this data into a new system (QBO) is a monumental challenge, and QB is having to adjust their migration tools as issues with the migration arise and need to be resolved.
Migrations are largely successful, but each is a unique experience involving different issues and “workarounds” depending on the QB migration tools and how distributors have utilized QB Desktop over the years.
If you are thinking about migration, let’s talk and discuss your situation and what migration might entail.
